Our Mission

The Calhoun Community College Police Department mission is to provide a safe and secure environment for all members of our community to learn and work while supporting our institutional mission, vision, and values.

Chief Tyler Roden

Office: Decatur Campus Police Station

Message from Chief Roden

As the chief of police, I will ensure our police department uses each day to focus on crime prevention and emergency preparedness to ensure Calhoun remains a safe campus. Our focus will be to meet the expectations that the campus community has on its public safety by being highly visible, respond quickly to emergency situations, and be a service and results oriented department.

During my years in law enforcement, I’ve realized how important it is that we work together and communicate with each other because community safety is everyone’s responsibility and public safety is most effective when we are in partnership with the community. When you see or hear suspicious information or activity and you get that information to us, we can prevent serious issues from occurring and keep the community safer.

If I may be of any assistance to you, please do not hesitate to call or email me. Thanks again and stay safe!
